Caramelized Brussels Sprouts

bruss sprouts use If you have not tried Brussels with honey you do not understand what you are missing! I am not even a big fan of Brussels Sprouts, but this version is one of my favorite side dishes!

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
  • 1 bag (about 25-30) brussels sprouts
  • a sprinkling of sea salt
  • a few grinds of fresh pepper
  • 1 tbl coconut oil or avocado oil
  • 2 tbl raw, local honey, or more to taste
  • optional: slivered almonds
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Cut the brussels sprouts in half.
  4. Mix in a bowl with oil, salt and pepper.
  5. Lay the brussels (cut side down) on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until browned and soft.
  7. Drizzle with honey and serve.
